Michigan Wedding Videographer

2018. What a year! I’ve been working on curating some highlight posts from our 2018 wedding season. Stay tuned for some of our top fave candid moments, portraits, and detail photos of the year! In the meantime, I also decided to sort all of the photos of us (or our assistants!) that I set aside while culling wedding images. As I look through these - and a few definitely made me laugh out loud when I found them - it really captures how much fun we have doing this work. That even after hours and hours of work we feed off of the energy of weddings. In this post you’ll have the chance to see me shooting the styling skillz of the ELD planning team, wiping up the dance floor with Sincerely Ginger Weddings, adjusting a bride’s hair or veil or dress, and would ya just take a look at Michael’s squat form?! You’ll see the fine fashion stylings of our amazing photo friend, Chelsey, who grabbed her jacket for a drizzly day only to realize that she now had on competing and very dramatic floral prints. You’ll see a lot of crazy faces, our video assistant (Sawyer!) doing his best boy band pose, and tons of shots of me wildly gesticulating and pointing as I direct clients. There was also the morning that Michael had to hug all of the dresses as they hung from Starry Night Barn while waiting for the wind to die down! If you have the dedication to keep scrolling, you’ll even get a chance to see the time my mom photobombed my test shot of Michael at the one wedding we photographed this year where my parents were guests :) At the end of the day, I’m filled with warm fuzzies when I go through these. 2018 clients, we love you all. With deep sincerity - Thank you.

P.S. Most of these are shots to test lighting. So when you see Michael at your head table or standing behind your cake, he wasn’t doing it “just because”. He was there to make sure my lighting was correct - except he can’t seem to take a serious picture to save his life, so in most of them he is doing something weird or cheesin’ super hard.

P.S.S. Huge thank you to Chelsey, Hallie, Josh, Lindsey & Cathy for taking some of these pics!

THESE TWO.  Just so much energy, excitement, joy.  As with most video blog posts, I'll let the film tell the story.  It will do a way better job than I could put into words.  Cheers to Anna & Jeremy!

We had the absolute pleasure of creating the following video for Kara and Michael.  I truly believe that the footage will express much more than I could possibly write in this paragraph, so go ahead and check it out.  We're so proud to share it with the world and cheers to Kara and Michael!  Thanks for trusting us to document your day.  It was truly a pleasure.

Sarah & Kris // Higgins Lake Wedding Photography

Sarah and Kris are so very deserving of the amazing wedding day they had last Saturday.  Due to an unexpected family illness, they had to re-plan their entire wedding in a matter of weeks.  Construction was still being finished on Kris' parents home on Higgins Lake, and the construction crew even rushed to have the place done and ready to go for the new date.  And I must say, what they pulled off was absolutely incredible.  Their day was filled with so much joy and heart.  It was a beautiful community effort to witness.  We are very thankful to have been a part of their day - congratulations Sarah & Kris!  Oh, and video is coming soon!  Stay tuned.

Huge thanks to Dustin for helping out on this one!!  He's the best!

We are so excited to share this teaser video clip with you!  Not much beats a great couple dancing romantically outdoors in golden evening light.  Congratulations Nicole and Jason!

I have been sitting here for a few minutes now trying to come up with a cute little blurb to describe Shana & Caleb's day, but I just keep coming back to the fact that it was a damn good time.  Two down to earth people choosing to get married in a field next to a huge outcropping of pine trees, surrounded by wonderful family and friends.  A glowing clear-topped tent. Oh, and THE PARTY.  A bride and groom rapping for their guests doesn't happen everyday.  Plus, we witnessed a surprise mother and son dance and a hilarious voting-based dance off.  SO. MUCH. FUN.  Shana & Caleb, thanks for having us and make sure to check out the teaser video clip too!
