We fit Megan & Mike’s session into this perfect pocket of time - We were able to capture tons of late fall color before all of the leaves fell, as well as the icy blues of Lake Michigan. Mike proposed to Megan out at Empire Bluff, so it was extra special for them to have their photos taken here. To me it doesn’t get much better than hiking around this magical landscape with clients. Especially clients who are outdoorsy, and fun, and make the occasional goofy face at each other. AND I’m obsessed with Megan’s sweater poncho, so we’re basically destined to be best friends. I hope you’re enjoying this late Fall season as much as I am. Stay cozy my friends.
I first met the amazing Grajqevci family two years ago when we did a summer session in Charlevoix. Fast forward to a few days ago... we met up again for an adventurous hike at Brown Bridge Quiet Area - one of my very favorite places in the Grand Traverse region. It also happens to be kind of a hidden gem. Bailey and Visar (along with their two adorable kiddos) have started the Instagram account The Family Travels. This year they are collaborating with a number of photographers around the state of Michigan and I feel so lucky that they asked me to be a part of their project. Follow along to keep up with their adventures! And hopefully this won't be the last time you see them here either ;)
Melissa is currently living in Ann Arbor, and Andrew lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We had a short window of opportunity to take engagement photos, and the Michigan weather we've been having was making me nervous! Luckily we found a perfect break from the rain for some great fall photos, and the overcast skies created some beautiful soft light at the end of the day by Grand Traverse Bay. I'm so happy these two decided to come to Northern Michigan for a long weekend, and I'm looking forward to their fall wedding next year!
