Lauren and Joe celebrated the classic beauty of Detroit on their wedding day. They chose to get married in the oldest church building in the city - Ss. Peter & Paul. This stunning location for their vows, in combination with a variety of classic and unique portrait locations left me feeling warm and fuzzy even on a cold late fall day. We even saw the first snowflakes of the year ;) I must also mention that Joe and Lauren are the fourth couple we've had the privilege of photographing who met and fell in love at UM Law! Maybe it's the romantically beautiful architecture of the law quad, who knows, but there are clearly some good vibes happening at that school! ;) I'm SO happy for these two - cheers to married life Lauren & Joe!
Paige and Mike's wedding was packed with personal touches from the beginning to the end. They got ready (on different floors) of their house in Petoskey, took photos with their two pups, created their decor themselves, and even had family and friends cater the reception in the form of grilled burgers and brats with yummy sides and homemade pies! It was truly the type of wedding where community comes together and welcomes a couple to married life. WE LOVE THAT. What a special event to be a part of - and to top it all off - we hit an amazing late fall day with no shortage of fall color. Cheers to Paige & Mike!
Late fall is beautiful and unpredictable. It can be cold, rainy, and eerie. But that can also make for a dramatic and unique setting for a wedding, especially for Melissa and Andrew, who chose Halloween. We absolutely loved it. Cheers to these two for embracing the nontraditional!
